VastMotion - Australian Nation Final 2008

Vastmotion began back in 2008 in the lead up to the F1 in Schools Australian National Championship being held in the Nation Capital, Canberra on November 24th to 26th. We had been working with Redline Racing Team and developing hte concept of miniture acceleration data capture devices. Things have grown from there.

The first day of racing saw all Australian National and State records fall with three cars going under the magic 1 second barrier. Redline Racing - Trinity Christian School ACT won the Professional Class Championship and will travel to England for the World Championship in September 2009 along with the Apprentice Class Champion Bio Hazard - Menai High School NSW. Redline Racing came second in the 2008 World Championship as the Goshawk team as an Apprentice team of year 8 students. The current team of year nine students is set to have another crack at the World Championship in 2009.

Vast Motion has been collaborating with Redline Racing in the development of the F1 Puck - Accelerometer Data Logger throughout 2008. We know the dedication this team has displayed and offer our congratulation on their success at the National Championships. We look forward to further collaboration with the team as they continue to push the limits of F1 in Schools Race car development.
